Site that extracts GPS locations from Wikipedia articles and plots location of items in list on map. Clicking on each pin brings up a popup modal displaying the introductory description from the Wikipedia page. it includes authenticated user sessions and allows users to save previous maps.
Photo blog with user profiles. Each user has a profile page, albums, and photos. Site shows a map pinning locations of photos. Photos are searchable through a UI or an API. Meta data, such as GPS coordinates and camera parameters, are extracted upon upload.
